Ingredients (Pizza Crust)
- 1 3/4 cups hot water (hot to the touch on your wrist)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour, add as needed
- 3 tbsp olive oil, or more to taste
- 2 tbsp quick rise yeast
- 1 tbsp white sugar
- 1 tsp salt

- 4 ozs hot Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper strips (about 1 medium)
- 1/2 cup red onion sliced (about 1 medium)
- 1/4 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup basic marinara sauce
- Big pinch black Pepper
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 cup grated Anchor Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 pizza crust*
- Cooking spray
- Pepperoni slices
Directions (Pizza Crust)
- Beat water, olive oil, yeast, sugar, and salt together until evenly combined, about 2 minutes
- Add flour, 1 cup at a time, stirring with a wooden spoon after each addition, until dough almost comes away from sides of the bowl. Knead the dough with your hands until soft and smooth
- Lightly oil a bowl and place dough in the bowl, flipping to coat all of the dough. Let dough rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Roll out into a circle, about 1/4” thick. Use as directed below
Directions (Pizza)
- Preheat over to 450°. Remove casings from sausage. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat and coat pan with cooking spray. Add sausage, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms to pan. Cook 6 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender and sausage is browned, stirring frequently
- Place pizza crust on a large baking sheet. Combine basic marinara and tomato paste with a whisk, and spread evenly over crust, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle with grated Anchor Cheddar Cheese and oregano, and top evenly with sausage mixture and pepperoni. Bake at 450° for 15 minutes or until cheese melts and crust is lightly browned
- Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing
