Ingredients
- 2 cups All Purpose flour
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 tsp. Salt
- 1 1/2 tsps. Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsps. Ground Cloves
- 2 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1 cup Anchor Butter (Unsalted), softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Molasses
- 1 Large Egg
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line two baking trays with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat
- Add the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and nutmeg in a medium sized bowl. Whisk until fully combined and set aside.
- Cream Anchor Butter and sugar. Stir in molasses and egg. Slowly add dry ingredients and mix until dough pulls from the side. Divide into two equal portions, wrap in plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for at least one hour.
- Roll dough 1/4″ thick and cut with desired cookie cutter. Bake 10-12 mins, or until edges start to brown. Once cooled frost as desired.
